Slumped Knit Porcelain Tea Light Cover in Shrimp with Teal Blue I-Cord
Originally intended to be a tea light cover this one decided it would rather be a wall hanging. As you can see from the photo, one of the ends of its teal colored I-cord was kicked off during the slumping. Dipped in two separate colored slips with artist's name plate on base of piece.
Knit porcelain pieces are all one of a kind, first individually knit, then dipped, formed and fired in the kiln. Some have additional embellishments such as cords and crochet work, others have been dipped in colored porcelain.
